Whether you’re an avid mixologist or just want a handy way to serve beverages at family gatherings, a bar cart can provide convenience as well as a distinctive visual element for your home. Here are ideas for creating one that’s both stylish and functional:
Pick a cart that fits your space and décor. Art deco, rustic, and midcentury modern are all popular options, but there are variations to fit any style.
Equip your cart with high-quality tools, including a lime squeezer, muddler, strainer, and shaker, as well as glasses and an ice bucket.
Include cocktail (or mocktail) recipe books. Vintage books add visual appeal as well as fun throwback recipes.
Create visual balance by including elements that are taller than the bottle, like a vase, plant, or tall pitcher.
Stock with a few bottles of whatever you use most, plus enough glasses for everyday use. Store extra bottles and glasses out of sight to keep your cart stylish, not cluttered.
